To me the Yin and Yong of Jeet Kune Do is the choice to defeat your opponent with your fist or with your mind.

Glad to have found your forum. I was losing hope. It seemed to me that no one could see just what Jeet Kune Do can be. Not just a great physical offensive structure. But a power of the mind. There are facets of Jeet Kune Do that are pure reflections of Bruce Lee's thoughts, and emotional content, in essence a small portion of his mental chi. No one seems to remember he was also ...

The Powerline

I was checking out the latest on the MMA scene on the net and came across this picture of Yves Edwards. I think he is a well rounded fighter, with a warrior’s heart. He trains at ATT here in Florida and I met him when he came over to Marcelo’s to train his groundgame before an upcoming fight. He is a very humble person and one hell of a grappler!

Anyway, this is a good example of the powerline. Now, when talking the powerline it is not only the top meaning the shoulders and arm ...

Bob hosted a great event as expected. For me, the attendees were made up with more common faces and TWJKD seasoned practitioners. This allowed Ted Wong to teach at a high level (as Bob and Bill had mentioned). Even those I knew were first time attendees were humble and seasoned martial artists. Great crowd.

I mostly worked with our very own Paul Bax on the first day. My ribs hurt from his shovel hook and jaw recovering from his cork screw punch. Sifu Wong saw the jaw shot and was ...

JKD Man in the Ring

Here is Barry Coker on another clip I just found. (coming from the left corner of the ring) He is 2nd gen Instructor with Jerry Poteet. You can find the other clips when you run a search on YouTube. This is just the final minutes. There are those who believe that JKD will not be suited for nor have place (success) in combat sports fighting. I know that my brother Victor Colon has trained a fighter in his stand up to enter a cage match (which he won). What are your thoughts?

I am back from Fishkill, NY. Needing to catch up on some rest but quickly put together a quick slide show of some moments at the event. Richard put together a great gathering with a large turn out. I got to work with Richard's student the first day. He was well trained and a true gentleman. The following day, I worked with Mark Duncan. I have to say that he is a talented martial arts practitioner with great form, speed and power. I didn't get to work with Vincent but saw him breifly with ...
